BrooklynParrots.com went to Chicago on Monday; in truth, I had to attend a trade show, but I made sure I got up early and checked out the fabulous wild monk parrots of Hyde Park. Given my hectic schedule, I was only able to spend an hour or so with them, but I got some good photos and an illuminated understanding of their existence in the fabulous city of Chicago. I'll be uploading photos this week; in the meantime, here's a teaser: it shows a Chicago monk airlifting a large twig to one of the monks' incredible tree nests.
